The Majestic Theater has a rich and interesting history. In 1927, The Majestic became the first movie theater in Centerville, Iowa to show movies on Sundays. The local Moose Lodge used to meet in the upstairs ballroom. World-renowned opera singer Simon Estes played a key role in the history of the theater.
